Geometric is everywhere right now, and I am really digging it! Whether styling for a fun party or adding a different kind of accent to a room, geometrics can bring a fun fresh vibe to any space. I’ve been finding myself drawn to them more and more lately and can’t wait to try a few of these fun DIYs this weekend. Those crates would be so perfect in my sons room! I love how something so raw and inexpensive can be spruced up and made so modern with a bit of black paint. From adding a simple triangle here and there to full blown 3D geo cubes, there are lots of options to go around. Here are 13 of my favorites from the web this week:
Geo Paper boxes | painted wooden drawer pulls | Copper succulent planters | gold lamp | coral pencil holder | painted camera straps | wooden storage crates
Incase these aren’t enough for you, I also have my eye on this amazing gold Geo Plant Hanger, this super simple and cute gold triangle garland, the cutest nursery mobile for any new little sweetie, this fabulous pair of hex and leather earrings, and this awesome wooden geometric cube pendant light.

I have been seeing scalloped garments and accessories all over lately. And every time I come across a scalloped dress, shirt, accessory, or pair of lovely shoes I just can not seem to refuse it. The simplistic femininity that these cute items all have just calls my name. They are on trend for spring, and I can’t wait for the weather to be officially warm so I can enjoy a few of them a bit more often from day to day. Which scalloped item is your favorite?
1. Kate Spade Pants | 2. Chic Wish Neon Skirt | 3. Charles Albert Shoes | 4. Forever21 Bangles | 5. J Crew Cocktail Dress | 6. Oh Joy for Target Bowl | 7. Kate Spade Ring | 8. J Crew T-shirt

Life is busy, we all know this. So I try to find recipes that are super quick and easy, with as little clean up as possible, yet still delicious. And this is probably our biggest go-to at home. If you have been over to our place for dinner, chances are you’ve had these at least a time or two.
Taco Turkey Burgers. They are seriously delicious and the easiest thing to make. Simply take one pound of ground turkey and one packet taco seasoning and mix! Thats it. Mine makes four patties which I just pan fry on the stove, but if you want to fire up the grill they are delicious there as well.
I pair mine with guac usually, but even with some chips and salsa, a lil sour cream or queso, these are delicious. Even my one year old LOVES them!
Some people find Guacamole intimidating, or don’t know exactly what to put in there, but we have avocados in the fridge nearly all the time. I think the key to great Guac are ripe avocados. You don’t want them to be firm at all, or it becomes hard to mash and the flavor and texture just don’t seem right. From there it is based on personal taste what to put inside. We put lots of cilantro, red onion, garlic and salt in ours, mostly because those are the items that are generally always in our fridge. If we are feeling really fun with the it, I love throwing in a squeeze of lime juice and a splash of orange juice.
I am generally the “taste, don’t measure” kind when I cook, but for those of you who desire more detailed ingredients this is what I used to make our dinner last night:
Taco Burgers: 1 lb ground turkey and 1 package taco seasoning – Mix well, form four patties, brown on stove top until done inside.
Guacamole: 2 ripe avocados, 2 tbs cilantro finely chopped, 1 tbs finely chopped red onion, 1 squeeze lime juice, 1 tsp orange juice, and salt to taste.
*If you want to make these extra healthy for your family, you can make your own taco seasoning to keep on hand. I’ve found a recipe here that looks great and I’m dying to try it and compare.

I have never been one to celebrate St. Patrick’s day, in fact, I am usually that person who doesn’t wear green at all and gets pinched or teased all day long. So this year I’ve decided to share some of my very favorite green things out there, with a lil gold of course, in the hopes it will inspire me to be a bit more festive. From the cutest dress around to some great accessories there are plenty of options to join in the festivities. And check out Victoria Drive’s awesome shop with beautiful hand painted watercolors and calligraphy! Her Irish Blessing print is the cutest!

Yesterday was a snow day for many of us in Tulsa, and something sparked in me when I woke up. I actually was able to sleep in a bit, so perhaps it was that extra few hours of sleep, but I sprang into Spring Cleaning mode. By 5:30 that evening I had all the laundry and dishes done and put away. Like all, not a dirty glass or stinky sock in the place! The kitchen and living room were cleaned up, dusted and vacuumed, furniture in the bedroom was rearranged, two closets and one guest room (aka: storage/craft room) were totally cleaned out, and I even had a little free time to have some milk and cookies in between of course. :) So once all that was done and I sat down to check my phone after running around like a crazy woman all day, I saw that I had over 85 emails in my inbox. Now, these had accumulated over the three day weekend, but almost none of them had anything to do with life, work or relationship. They were all from places like amazon, gap, groupon, etc. and they take over my inbox each morning. On a day to day basis they are the first thing I see when my alarm goes off in the morning, and that is just what they are hoping for.
So to continue this massive spring cleaning binge in my life today and this week I am decluttering my inbox. Not only will it help me to see those emails I am getting that really matter, but it will help me to resist temptation and spur of the moment purchases simply for the “Deal of the Day.” Note to self: Just because it’s 65% off does NOT mean that I need it! Yet, I always think that’s exactly what it means.
There are so many daily deal sites and fun places to shop that I find myself needing to do this inbox cleanse every few months in order to spend less and want less. We are all so blessed and fortunate, so this is one small step to rid yourself of overspending temptation, or needless buying.
Let me know if you’ll do it with me! Happy unsubscribing!
